The "waterfall braid" has become very popular this summer and you've probably seen lots of images of it on the internet, well I think it looks pretty awesome and it's very versatile.  If you are having a more relaxed, garden/beach wedding this could be the perfect look for your bridesmaids or flowergirl.  Be careful though as it doesn't suit everyone! even though it is super pretty.

On the other hand there are cool ways you can use it in an up-do hairstyle as seen in the following picture.  I think this is a very elegant, polished and sophisticated up-do with out be over the top and super 'traditional bride' looking.  So if you think this is a bit of you when browsing for hairstyles let your hairdresser know.

I have been super busy this wedding season, it's the busiest yet! and already I''m getting bookings for the 2013/14 summer wedding season, so if you are thinking of inquiring the sooner you do the more likely you are to get booked in with me.

I've loved this wedding season, for amongst the crazy busy times I've met some beautiful brides and their families and I've loved being apart of their big day, so a big thanks to all my brides this summer for making my job so enjoyable.

I've seen some parts of the Waikato I've never been to before and this is always fun, to get out of the city and see the country side that surrounds Hamilton.  There are some truly beautiful spots so get exploring people.

Then there is the hair...I love doing hair styles and I have had some very fun styles to create this year, which has allowed me to be creative and it's pushed me to new lengths.  At times I've had to think outside of the box and dig deep to create what a bride has asked but this is what i love...a good challenge! so thank you once again my brides for 2012/13 for trusting me to do your hair.

I love my job!!! and meet so many amazing people.

It's not over though another 3 months and then winter hits and prep work starts for a September kick off for the next season.

Brides, if you a lacking some ideas for your bridesmaids here are some cool styles that I have seen lately that are a bit different to what has been happening over the last few summers.  The styles have changed and lets move on from the side curls pinned, although it can still look cool it is nice to see some thing fresh. This summer is all about fresh, cute and a little bit girly at times, although this may not suit every one, there are still the more classic styles around.  I'm, loving the big fringes that some of these hair-up's have and the simplisticity of them too is great, it doesn't have to be over complicated but compliment the style dresses your girls are wearing. 

Take a look at these and be inspired to think a little outside the square when looking for ideas for ladies that are standing beside you on the day of your wedding.

I've been following schwarzkopf for years now, being a hairdresser and all I like to keep up with the latest trends and products the big names provide.  Tonight I came across this simple video of a classic hairstyle that you can do at home. It's a great for those evening events that are coming up, as the christmas party season is nearly upon us all.  It would be a great hairstyle if you are a guest at a wedding too, very easy and yet looks gorgeous.
